Overview

The Dodecanese is located to the front of Asia Minor and it is one of the Greek archipelagos of the Aegean sea

Tips

  • Walk around the Agathonisi island if you prefer to have a rest, with few tourists and enjoy a silent place
  • Go visit the angel Miguel Panimitis’ orthodox monastery in Symi, built up during XVIII century, still habited
  • Rent a moto to tour around Symi end to end
  • Rodas is a big island thus, we recommend renting a car for a day to go around the isle from north to south

Day 1Kos

We invite you to walk around Dodecanese. Begin your journey boarding the boat in the port of the Kos island.

Day 2Kalimnos

Go on a short sailing towards Kálimnos island where you will find a fishing town. You can practice all kind of water sports and you can even climb the rocky mountains.

Day 3Leros

Aquamarine is a city that combined with Panteli y Platanos build Leros capital. Its port is specially colorful, full of traditional houses and even some mansions. Just in the port’s entrance you can find the byzantine fort of Bourtzi, you will also find a castle built in the peak of the Hill offering wonderful panoramic vews.

Day 4Symi

The jewelry of Dodecanese islands, let yourself be charmed by the beauty of Symi and the enchanting little town. The island is popular to have sunny beaches which can also be reached from the sea.

Day 5 and 6Rhodes

Rodes island is the largest of Dodecanese islands. There existed an oversized statue (Colossus of Rhodas). It used to be one of the seven marvels of the old world and the tradition tells that is has been destroyed after an earthquake.

Day 7Kos

Reaching the end of the journey, go sailing back to Kos Island where you will land in the morning. The island has forts and old ruins of the past century to enjoy. Take the opportunity to walk around the castle of Sain John knights.

The prevailing wind Meltemi blows from the northeast during the summer, peaking in July and August in Force 4 to 6. During spring and autumn, the winds are calmer and blow from the southeast.
