Amalfi Coast, Italy
The Amalfi coast is a section of the Italian coast drenched by the Tyrrhenian Sea, located in Salerno gulf, in the homonymous province of the Campania area. Start and finish your tour in the city of Salerno. Well-known to be the place where the salernitan medicine school was born, one of the greatest medical institutes of the middle age era in Europe. There is a lot to see from a historic point of view, as well as the new ferry terminal designed by Zaha Hadid.
Sail throughout the coast towards Positano. Famous to be a fishing town, Positano lures thousands of tourists looking for enjoying a beautiful view surrounded by cliffs and colorful town.
With only 4 km2 of land, Procida is the smallest isle of Naples bay and one of the most beautiful. This small island has succeeded in conservation a natural environment. Walk around the island and feel the peace of its natural beauty.
This volcanic island is famous for its thermal springs, hot muddy pools and beaches. Ischia is covered by amazing woods, vineyards, forests and rocky outcrops, it is less crowdy than its neighbor Capri.
Begin a short sail towards Capri isle. You will be able to find 2.000 years-ruins and museums to visit, as well as the famous ruin Grotta Azzurra (blue cave). Capri is very attended by tourists and the jet set worldwide.
Reaching the end of the tour, get to know Amalfi City. This city has been one of the most important navy basis of the Mediterranean. One of the most attractive things to see in the city is the “Sant´Arena” cathedral, located in Duomo Street. By the end of the day begin sailing back to Salerno.

General conditions
The climate is Mediterranean, with hot dry summers and mild wet winters. Distance from the sea and the height of the larger mountains are the causes of sharp differences in climate: on the coastal belt, the average annual temperature is around 19 °C, which drops to 13 °C inland. The precipitations are confined mainly to the winter months. Rainfall is low particularly on the low-lying ground round Catania and Gela.
