So-called “The smiling country”, Thailand is one of the hottest countries of the south-east Asia. This is an excellent choice for those loving peaceful and beautiful beaches such as “Phi Phi Island”, “Phuket” or “Ko Pha Ngan” where the well-known “Full Moon y Half Moon Party” are given.
The first day will begin in Phuket island. It is mostly a mountain island and owns the most popular beaches of Thailand.
Go on a short sailing towards Phang Nga bay in the morning. Take the day to visit the national park of Ao Phang Nga where you will find the island of “James Bond”, the most famous of Thailand where the film agent 007 was shot.
Go sailing towards Koh Hong island. This island is one of the most important in the area and it is inhabited. You will find some lakes inside the island to walk around and you can also explore Koh Lahding caverns.
During the fourth day of sailing, you will go towards Ko Poda island, located in the Krabi province. You can also visit Ko Poda and other islands such as Koh Kai, a fantastic place to go kayaking and snorkeling in the surrounding reefs.
The Phi Phi islands are a mandatory visit for tourists. You will find the most photographed islands of Thailand, “Maya Beach” where the film “the island” was shot starred by Leonardo Di Caprio. Another point of interest is Phileh Lagoon in Phi Phi Leh.

General conditions
Thailand is a year round sailing destination. There are two main seasons, which are called the wet and dry season, or the SW or NE monsoon, respectively. Seasonal winds tend to be predictable, although there may be inconsistencies as they change from one to the other.

Tides
Thailand has two high tides per day. The range varies from half a metre to just over 3 metres. The Ao Po marina has instant all tide access to Phang Nga bay. The latest that a Moorings yacht can depart from the marina is 5.00 pm as the nearest anchorage is half an hour away and all yachts must be anchored by 5.30 pm.
