The Abacos shaped like a boomerang covers from Walkers Cay to the north to Hole-in-the-Wall to the south, just 175 miles to the east of Palm Beach in Florida and 106 miles to the north of Nassau.

7 days

Day 1Elbow Cay

Begin the itinerary in the marine of Marsh Harbour and sail towards Elbow Cay, the most known of the colonial towns thanks to the famous lighthouse of 130 years of age. If you wish to tour around and get to know more of the local history, we recommend going for a walk to the peak of “Elbow Reef Lighthouse”.

Day 2Hope Town

Staying in Hope Town, you can observe moorings from Hope Town Marina where you can also find wonderful bars and restaurants such as Cap’n Jack’s and Harbor’s Edge. Around 3 miles to the south of the White Sound entrance, you will find “Abaco Inn”, one of the best options to have dinner in Abaco.

Day 3Tahiti Beach

Begin the third day of the itinerary in Tahiti Beach, a perfect place to anchor the sailboat or catamaran. Tahiti Beach Bahamas is a peaceful option to spend time. You can sail to Tilloo Cay in the evening, just to the north, a deserted island with an astonished wild life.

Day 4Sandy Cay

The fourth day will begin sailing to the west to reach Sandy Cay, you will see the reefs building the sea park of Pelican Cays. Notice that you can be exposed to the Atlantic weather and its currents.

Day 5 The Little Harbour

The Little Harbour town was founded as an art colony 60 years ago and it still conserves a fanciful design. Before exploring the town, immerse yourself in the nearest coral reef or explore the caverns to the west side of the port.

Day 6Man O War Cay

Man-O-War Cay is a relaxing opportunity of about 200 inhabitants many of them build boats for a living. Some suggestions to have lunch are “Dock & Dine” in Man-O-War Marina, “Hibiscus Café”, “Sally’s Take Away” and “Tamarind Tree Shoal”.

Day 7Great Guana Cay/ Elbow Cay

During the last day sail towards Great Guana Cay to land in the bay next to Grabes port. Enjoy the incredible beaches before going back to Abaco island, Bahamas.

General conditions 

The trade winds that blow almost continually throughout The Bahamas give the islands a warm agreeable climate, which varies little year round. The most refreshing time is from December through February when the temperature averages 70-75°F (21-24°C). 
The rest of the year is a bit warmer with temperatures between 80-85°F (27-29°C).
The weather at this base is comparable to Miami, Florida; mostly sunny with some clouds.
